Firewall Builder Version 4.2 Released

Mountain View, CA, April 21, 2011 -- With today’s release of Firewall Builder V4.2, NetCitadel continues to demonstrate its leadership in the firewall configuration management market.

Unlike many firewall analysis applications that only allow users to view and analyze firewall rules, Firewall Builder actually generates configuration files that can be loaded onto the firewall using the built-in installer. Even the most complex firewall rules are simple to configure in Firewall Builder letting organizations focus on their security policies instead of searching for commands.

Firewall Builder V4.2 builds on the core technology that helps thousands of users around the globe simplify their production firewall management. New V4.2 features like a new import wizard that automatically detects your firewall platform and software version make it easier than ever to get started using Firewall Builder.

NetCitadel co-founder and principal developer Vadim Kurland said “V4.2 adds support for the latest Cisco ASA software versions and also includes support for advance BSD system configurations. These are significant steps forward in our quest to provide the best firewall configuration management application for a broad range of firewall platforms.”

Firewall Builder V4.2 is available for download now from the Firewall Builder website:

Support contracts for Firewall Builder OSS users are also available for this release.
